Nexus is the Student Section for international students at Örebro University. We organize social events, represent student interests, support new students during their transition to university life, and create opportunities for students from different backgrounds to connect. Our goal is to help students feel welcome, engaged, and part of the community.
You can become a member by joining Örebro Student Union and selecting Nexus as your student section. Membership gives you access to our activities, opportunities to get involved, and the right to participate in section meetings and elections. You can read more about Membership on this page!
Upcoming events can be found on our Events page and through our social media channels. Some events may require registration or ticket purchase, while others are open to all members. Be sure to check the event description for specific details.
The Orientation Programme (OP) is designed to help new students settle into life at Örebro University and in Sweden. It includes social activities, practical information, campus introductions, and opportunities to meet fellow students. The programme takes place at the beginning of each semester.
You can always email our President at nexus.president@orebrostudentkar.se. The President will either be able to answer your question directly or make sure it reaches the right person!

No. Nexus primarily represents and supports international students at Örebro University, but students who are interested in our community and activities are also welcome to get involved.
Our goal is to create an inclusive community where students from different backgrounds can meet and take part in student life.
There are many ways to get involved. You can volunteer during the Orientation Programme, join one of our committees, assist with events, become a student representative, or run for a board position. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to take on a larger role, there is a place for you in Nexus.
